Hog's Breath Cafe

Today's itenary met with a little hiccup, was supposed to collect my NIKE human race racepack with the mentor but the queue was disgustingly long from clarke quay all the way to Liang Court. So we decided to go for lunch at a place called Hog's Breath Cafe near the mentor's residence. A cool place with nice country-sort of set-up and they specialise in MEAT.. We both ordered the Hickory Smoked Prime-rib steak. It was also accompanied by vegetables and baked potato.

Take a look at that.. The steak had a nice smoky flavour which permeated through the steak and still was able to retain its juices within the meat. Texture-wise, it was tender as the recommended done-ness was medium rare. Mentor took medium well.. i found medium rare too rare for my liking.

What you're going to see next is a past vs present photo!
This picture here is taken today after a mileage of few hundered kilometres to culminate in such a lean and mean machine. (The one in RED)Believe it or not... This was taken merely a year ago!! Such a big difference right? Gosh..
To the Old Man: Seriously, you've shrank alot and really have been re-defined..haha..Hope you dont have violent objections of me posting up this pic of yours! Haha.. Anyway u're slim now.. so its fine.. Im looking forward to see you on a poster one day okay..

Thanks for everything once again.. See you for the NIKE human race!

Suppers and night runs

Hall life... ah.. all the mysteries of it has been unravelled in a short span of 2 weeks.

I have been engaged in sooo many suppers, og outings and night runs. Very tiring. But actually its really fun and you get to mix with friends and make new ones.

This is week 2 at NTU/NIE. Yesterday was CCA open house and there were many booths.. Of which some interesting ones like wine-tasting and food tasting club.. (gosh there were so many foodies and connesieurs around) But i joined good ol' ODAC. I think it will expose me to the many activities that i want to take part in..

Thought of going for NTU sports club as well.. But then again.. aiya.. Dont be greedy.. So many things to choose.. but go for the best! Then joined Christian Fellowship as well..

Things at home are pretty much the same, just that its more settled this week. In hall, really need to start sleeping earlier and not going out for so many suppers...

Thats about it..
Weekend will go to NUS law sch at bukit timah to mug, got new food to try at coronation arcade.. Coach, so long never meet you.. Wanna go not?

Hall 15 and 1st day of School

First tribute goes to Coach Teng for supplying me with this 4 year old precious lap-top that has seen its glorious heydays in SMU @ bukit timah campus.

Today is the first day of school and went for some lectures in PE. One of it is intro to PE by Mr K. Now I know why he is so well-liked.. because he's so funny and such a nice person! Printed out all the notes and time-table and getting ready to be a mugger.

Shifted into hall last night with JVR and we cleaned up for a good 1.5 hrs before we settled in and lights out. Feels funny that so many things are happening at one go in such speed. Hmm, I really pray that in all of these I can still study for God and to truly remember that I am here because of him.

I also now appreciate things at home. Like why i have a HDB to go back to. A kitchen and toilet to walk into within 10 steps from my room. Unlike the common places that i now go. Not complaining, purely just appreciating what i have back at good ol' yishun!

Im still trying to adapt to the new places and the new faces. Prayerfully, things should get going lah. Dear friends who are reading this, please keep me and JVR in prayer. Thanks.

PESS and ba/bsc orientation camp 2008

Hi Guys!

Just came back from Festival Of Praise and it was really good! Felt really blessed after that.
High time to jot down memories from both the PESS camp and Ba/Bsc Camp.

PESS Camp:

Theme of the camp was Tote(a)m which was to build up some tribal stuff and my team build a hawk that was fierce in strawberry colour?! haha.

Day One: We registered and two emcees were funny, alvin and faizal. Met up with OG to do cheers and totem. Introduced amongst the ppl from 3 diff programmes in the OG. Only siying and rizal was from my class.

Day Two: Woke up at 5.30am to have initiation run by Mr K. It was just a short 2km run.
We had to go for our GESL group and my group actually won the amazing race! Too bad the PE guys had to go off for course registration and we didnt get the prizes..

Went back after that for introduction by the PESS lecturers and followed by sports pick-up where we played all the ball games! Fun! Tchoukball was interesting! A very fun and thinking game where no interception is allowed. haha.. Then we ended day really tired after playing soooo many games like soccer, netball, volleyball, tchoukball, handball, touch rugby, ultimate frisbee...

We ended up walking for the frisbee game.. so shagged liao.. that night wanyi bought supper for me.. thanks ! and really slept so soundly..

Day three: We had land telematch where we had to spin round 15 times.. crazy.. all of us just collapsed.. haha. then we had to eat this chilli padi/wasabi sandwhich which i puked! Coz i had the wasabi one.. REALLY DISGUSTING... I left after that.. Felt really sick in the stomach and want doing well physically..

Ba/Bsc Camp:

Was in SPARTANS! then family of warriors whose head is who else?! ITs James.. haha

Day One: Talks and more boring talks.. then station games.. fright night.

Day Two: Went out to City hall area for amazing race which bonded well with the rest of the OG.
Our cheers were funny though.. Got "sexy" cheer and some other vulgar cheers..

After that was finale night.. Funny mascots and Lame games which lasted till 2pm
then went supper with junyang and tiffany.

Here are some pics:

This was at the Dance Station
Taking a break at the esplanade
