NYDC

Today was really busy ! Went to collect medals, pass payment cheque for bikes.. Then met yiting and kelvin for dinner at Bugis. We settled for NYDC coz Kelvin hasnt eaten there before so let him try out.. Had the baked pasta for mains and two desserts which are featured below.. Nothing to shout about really..

The Jedi Mudster : Now this one's good. (My choice) haha.. Chocolate with choc chips on top followed by Macadamia Nut below.. Both flavors tick the boxes..
This one's called "Insatiable" but really it was anything BUT that. We were sick of it after 3 scoops.. It was way too sweet and confusing for us to even distinguish what the dish was about. Nonetheless we finished it and ended up with a sugar rush..

Tomorrow's the pre-race briefing! My first time being a race director and giving a pre-race briefing.. Kinda anxious but I'll just give it my best shot. All the components of the race have fallen into place and I really hope that the execution of the RACE will be done smoothly.

Things at home haven taken a dip down south. Im really sick of it. I want to just get away from all this nonsensical drama that has bugged me for the past 7 years of my life. Possible? Nah.. I think it'll be like this.. I wont go to the extent of saying LIFE sucks and why do I get this all the time.. (quite close though) BUT I need to BREAK OUT. HELP.

Ubin Cycling Trip '08 (Its an annual thing)

It was such a last minute thing- We decided only at 1am !!!

Haha but boy was it fun a trip !! There were 6 of us.. you'll get to see them in the pics below.. Had good food, great company and great weather as well.. Crack-a-lacking man!

Were to see many fiddler crabs, mudskippers..bivalvia and so on.. its like Bio all over again with Prof Beverly..Spartans OG !My dear cuckoo friend here attempted to catch a mudskipper: Took 15 minutes but finally caught a baby mudskipper ! at the expense of his towel though.. All in all, it was a damn fun trip la!! I so LOVE the nature and outdoors! Weather has been kind to us too!! We experienced both the HOT sun and RAIN !! Shiok..! My next pilgrimage there would be 2009.. Watch this space...

FINALLY !! The exams are OVER!! haha..

And it brings a closure to my first semester in Nanyang Technological University's National Institude of Education in Physical Education and Sports Science AG. What a mouthful! Phew...

Glad to have rounded off feeling good with my PE papers..

Oh well, first and foremost really like to thank God for this semester where he granted good health, lots of endurance and a good room-mate/buddy. Thanks Man.

Thought I would do a reflection on this semester and give thanks for what has come and gone.

Shall skip the orientations and stuff..

Hall Life

Well it was practically non-existent.. I hang-ed out much of the time with the NIE peeps. Then Hall people always thought me and bud were always buy-one-get-one -free.. As in like if one turns up for an activity. the other will follow. Oh wells, they everytime delay time one.. activity dont start on time. Oh and I took on subcomm role in charge of volleyball. Give myself extra work.. What the heck.. Yah but hall is really convenient and gives us more time on hand and allows me to go back and sleep in between lessons on fridays( GMD before bio pract) Lots of night runs with classmates, lots of suppers with gang. Haha. Its really an experience to stay hall.


School Life

This one has many subcomponents. Lets talk about work first. Educational mods were tedious coz of the many facets like presentations and project and assignments. But i think it turned out well. thank God.. esp for presentations! Haha. (Check previous post) Tests and projects were really stretching.. esp GMD and POG projects were big time-killers. Spend so much time and effort into it. Bio and PE tutors are all legends within their field, esp for PE where Mr K. is my tutor! Imagine Spore's most successful track athlete being ur tutor. Coolness. But I found all the bio field-trips fun! and also PE events like Barker's Run was cool also. I felt that those were the things that made school life interesting. Friends-wise.. I had it tough, really found it hard to find friends that i could stick to and share about life's stuff. Tiff and JY are good friends made right from OG and still remain as good friends. But the biggest bugbear is like I cant find any in my class.. though im kinda on gd terms with siying but i wished i could integrate with the class more. Well i guess i can only blame myself.. most of the time after POG i would go home instead of eating dinner with them coz that was the day that i could. settle some domestic issues. Haiz. I think i will just see how things pan out next sem.. try to spend more time with them.

Oh and the lack of CCA sucked too! I so wanted to join ODAC.. but spent this semester doing two things that are good for me but I dont Enjoy- Hall and GESL. yes i benefit in that i learn about organising events and bla bla.. but the point is im not happy with it. So I've decided!
I will join ultimate in NIE, NTU ODAC, maybe sports club or umc. but the first two is confirmed!

Im quite glad that now the hols beckons, i can meet up old friends outside of NIE ! haha.. peeps from evg, AI, KCP, NS.. Shiok ah!

Oh now i needa get down on my running! Got a marathon on 7th Dec!
